| Gurdwara Sahib Sri Guru Singh Sabha (Sikh Temple Sri Guru Singh Sabha) is one of the oldest Sikh institutions in Singapore established by the early immigrant Sikh community in 1918. The Gurdwara functions as a common place for worship by the 15,000 (est.) Singapore Sikh community as well as a social meeting place.  Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib secures the release of 52 Rajas & Princes together with him by walking out holding the tussels of his specially made gown.
It coincides with the day of the Diwali / Deepavali festival, Sikhs celebrate the Bandi Chod Divas to mark the joyous occassion when the 6th Guru Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji was released from Gwalior Fort with him freeing 52 other kings as well.
